5 questions
What is Tevyr?
Tevyr is a complete stage production platform that combines countdown timers, teleprompters, live polling, audience Q&A, sponsor walls, webhook automation, and real-time multi-screen control — all in one cloud-based application. It replaces multiple tools like Stagetimer, Slido, and standalone teleprompter apps.
Can I use Tevyr with any device?
Yes. Tevyr works on any device with a modern web browser — desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and smart TVs. We also have a native iOS app for iPhone and iPad with full controller capabilities. No software to install for the web version. All devices sync in real-time via the cloud.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The web version runs entirely in your browser — no downloads, no plugins, no extensions. Just open your browser, log in, and start running your event. For iPhone and iPad, we offer a native iOS app available on the App Store for an optimized mobile experience.
Is Tevyr available in languages other than English?
The interface is currently available in English only. Support is also provided in English. However, Tevyr is used by production teams worldwide and the interface is designed to be intuitive regardless of language background. Session titles, messages, and content can be entered in any language.
Can I use Tevyr offline?
Tevyr requires an internet connection for real-time sync between devices. However, if connectivity drops temporarily, presentation screens continue displaying the current timer and session. When the connection is restored, everything re-syncs automatically.

Features & Functionality

Sessions, scheduling, Q&A, teleprompters, polls, webhooks, and the difference between events and connections.

9 questions
Can I schedule and automate sessions?
Yes. You can schedule sessions to start at a specific date and time, and link sessions together so they auto-advance one after another. Scheduled sessions run automatically even if you close the controller — as long as any presentation screen (speaker, audience, or staff) is connected, the show keeps running on schedule.
Can attendees send questions to the presenter?
Yes. Share the Q&A link or QR code with your audience and they can submit questions from their phones. You can review, approve, display, and dismiss questions from the controller. Questions appear on speaker and audience screens when you choose to display them.
Can I share the event agenda with others?
Yes. Every event has shareable output links for different roles — speaker view, audience view, staff view, operator, moderator, and agenda view. Each link shows the appropriate information for that role. You can also generate short links and QR codes for easy sharing.
Can multiple people control the same event?
Yes. Generate separate links for controllers, operators, and moderators — each with appropriate permissions. Operators can manage timers and sessions, moderators handle Q&A and messages, and the master controller has full access. All roles stay perfectly synced across devices.
How does the teleprompter work?
Create scrolling teleprompter scripts attached to specific sessions or as standalone prompts. Adjust scroll speed, font size, and position. The teleprompter displays on any connected screen and can be controlled remotely from the controller or operator view.
What is live polling and how does it work?
Create polls with multiple choice, ranking, quiz, or open text formats. Audiences vote from their phones via QR code. Results update in real-time on presentation screens with bar charts, pie charts, word clouds, and more. You control when polls are activated, displayed, and closed.
How do webhooks and automation work?
Tevyr sends HTTP POST webhooks on every timer event — session start/stop, warning thresholds (5-minute, 30-second), blackout, flash, and more. Connect to OBS for scene switching, Companion for StreamDeck macros, DMX lighting consoles, audio mixers, or any system that accepts HTTP requests. Automate lights, mics, cameras, and cue systems without manual intervention.
What is the difference between Events and Live Connections?
An Event is where you create and manage your sessions, timers, messages, and settings — like a project. Live Connections are the number of devices connected to an event at the same time. On the Starter plan you get 3 connections. Paid plans support 10 to 500+ simultaneous connections.
Can I customize the look of my presentation screens?
Yes. Customize background color, text color, accent color, and logo per output link. Apply themes per session or use event-wide themes. Premium plans unlock full customization including custom logos, hidden branding, and sponsor wall overlays.

7 questions
Can I use Tevyr for free?
Yes. The free Starter plan includes 3 connections, 3 sessions, and all core timer features — countdowns, messages, session management, and real-time sync. No credit card required. No time limit. Upgrade anytime to unlock more connections, live polling, teleprompters, sponsor walls, webhooks, and advanced features.
What payment options are available?
We offer monthly and yearly subscription plans. Yearly plans save approximately 8% compared to monthly billing. Payments are processed securely by Paddle (our merchant of record) and support credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and other local payment methods. All prices are in USD, with local currency conversion at checkout.
Can I download a proper invoice?
Yes. Go to the Billing page in your dashboard to view your billing history. Each transaction includes a link to download a proper invoice from Paddle, where you can add your business address, company name, and VAT/tax number.
Can I get a refund for tax/VAT?
Yes. Paddle handles VAT automatically for European businesses. To avoid paying VAT in the first place, enter your company details and VAT number during checkout. If you've already been charged VAT, you can request a refund through Paddle's support.
What happens when my plan expires?
Your account reverts to the free Starter plan with 3 connections. No data is deleted — all your events, sessions, teleprompters, polls, and settings are preserved in your account. Custom logos revert to the default Tevyr branding. Webhooks are disabled. Once you resubscribe, everything is unlocked and available again.
If I cancel my yearly plan, do I get a refund?
No. When you cancel a yearly subscription, there is no refund for the remaining period. However, you keep full access to all paid features until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your account reverts to the free Starter plan. No further charges will be made.
Do you offer enterprise contracts?
Yes. We offer enterprise plans tailored to the needs of your organization with custom connection limits, dedicated support, and payment via invoice. Contact us at support@tevyr.com for more information or to request a quote.

6 questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your dashboard. Go to Settings > Billing > Cancel Subscription. Canceling means your plan will not auto-renew. You keep full access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period.
How many events can I create?
On the Starter plan, you can create a limited number of events. On Basic, Premium, and Enterprise plans, you can create unlimited events. Each event has its own sessions, timers, messages, polls, and settings.
How do I contact support?
You can reach us at support@tevyr.com for any technical questions, billing inquiries, or feature requests. We aim to respond within 24 hours on business days.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Authentication is handled by Supabase with industry-standard security practices. Payment processing is handled by Paddle as our merchant of record — we never see or store your credit card details. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I control events from the iOS app?
Yes. The Tevyr iOS app gives you full controller capabilities from your iPhone or iPad. Start, pause, and reset timers, manage sessions, send messages, and monitor all connected screens — all synced in real-time with the web version. You can seamlessly switch between the iOS app and web controller during an event.
Do scheduled sessions work if I close the app?
Yes. As long as at least one presentation screen (speaker, audience, or staff) is connected, scheduled sessions will auto-start at their scheduled time. Linked session chains will also auto-advance. You don't need to keep the controller or iOS app open — the connected screens handle the scheduling.
