Output Links

Tevyr provides 10 output types — each generates a unique link you can open on any device with a web browser. Put a countdown timer on a confidence monitor for the speaker, display an agenda on a lobby projector, hand an operator panel to your AV technician on their tablet, or let the audience submit questions from their phones. Every link stays perfectly in sync — changes you make appear everywhere instantly.

How It Works

  1. Open the Output Links panel from the Event dropdown in your controller.
  2. Choose the type of output you need — for example, a Speaker screen for a confidence monitor, an Audience screen for the projector, or an Operator panel for your AV technician.
  3. Customize the link — set a display name (like "Lobby TV" or "Stage Left Monitor"), choose colors, add password protection, and more.
  4. Copy the generated link or scan the QR code with your phone.
  5. Open the link on any device — a laptop, TV, projector, tablet, phone, or even inside streaming software like OBS. It connects and syncs instantly. No app required.
Good to know:

Each link you generate is an independent connection. If you open the same link in two different browsers or devices, both will work independently and stay perfectly in sync. You can generate as many links as your plan allows — whether that's a small meeting with 3 screens or a multi-stage conference with 50+.

Since Tevyr runs entirely in a web browser, your output links work on virtually any screen or device:

Confidence Monitors

Floor monitors or lectern screens showing the speaker their countdown timer and private messages

Projectors

Main venue projectors for the audience — show the timer, agenda, Q&A questions, or sponsor logos

TVs & LED Walls

Lobby screens, side-stage displays, hallway monitors, green room TVs, and large LED video walls

Teleprompters

Reflected glass teleprompters — use the mirror option so text reads correctly through the glass

Laptops & Tablets

Run the controller from your laptop, or put a timer on a backstage iPad for the crew

Phones

Speakers can check their remaining time on their phone, or audience members can submit questions

Streaming Software

Embed the timer as an overlay in OBS, vMix, or Wirecast using transparent background mode

Info Kiosks

Display the event agenda on self-service kiosks at registration desks or in hallways

Output Types

QR Code

Every generated link comes with a QR code you can scan to open it on any device instantly. In the Output Links panel:

  • Click the QR code icon next to any generated link to display it
  • Scan the code with a phone camera — no app needed, it opens directly in the browser
  • Download as PNG to embed in presentation slides, printed handouts, or signage
Tip

Display QR codes on slides before your event starts so the audience can pre-connect their phones to the Q&A or polling page while settling in.

Turn long output URLs into short, memorable links that are easy to share verbally, in chat, or on printed materials.

  • Click Create short link in the Output Links panel
  • A 7-character shortcode is generated automatically (e.g., tevyr.com/s/Ab3xK9m)
  • Optionally set a custom shortcode (up to 20 characters) for something memorable like tevyr.com/s/keynote-timer
  • Short links expire after 30 days and can be deleted at any time
  • Short links always redirect within the same secure domain — they never go to an external site

Password Protection

Add a password to any output link to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Set a password of 6 or more characters in the Output Links panel
  • A strength indicator shows the password quality (weak, fair, good, strong)
  • Visitors must enter the correct password before they can see anything
  • Passwords are stored securely on the server — never embedded in the URL
  • You can change or remove the password at any time; the change takes effect immediately for new visitors
Info

When you move a screen between events using Live Connections, password-protected outputs are automatically authenticated — no password prompt appears on unattended displays.

Security

  • Tamper-proof links — Every link is digitally signed. If anyone tries to modify the URL to change display settings or access a different event, the link will stop working.
  • Server-side settings — Sensitive settings like passwords, logos, and layout configurations are stored on the server, not embedded in the URL. This prevents anyone from extracting or modifying them.
